The event will take place in the most terrifying atmosphere of the Coillte Ballyhoura Forest, Ardpatrick, Co. Limerick. Events include a Halloween costume competition, spooky guided family fun walks on the Halloween haunted trails, plenty of surprises and spooks and hot refreshments to brave the cold elements of the forest.
Children and their parents, who are being encouraged to get into the spirit of Halloween and arrive in fancy dress to be guided through the ghostly woods of Ballyhoura while encountering wicked witches, deadly ghouls and more. The woods will be alive with creatures of the night, decorations, eerie events, hair-raising face painting and oodles of tricks and treats. For those that survive there will be plenty old style interactive Halloween fun games, story telling and good food on offer.
For mountain bikers the highlight of the event promises to be the ‘Ballyhoura Screamer’ a 2 stage, day and night, mountain bike race. The event will challenge bikers to a 30 km day stage followed by a 10 km night time trial. The event is certain to test mountain bikers to experience the trills, spills and chills of the Ballyhoura Mountain Bike trails.
