Kilbehenny is unusual in that it is the meeting point of the borders of three counties, Limerick, Cork and Tipperary.
Known locally as “The Gateway to the Galtees” Kilbehenny is situated on the borders of Limerick, Cork and Tipperary.
Kilbehenny was designated as “Village of Tradition” in 2006.
There are a number of protected archaeological sites and monuments in and around Kilbhehenny that provide continuing evidence of the Village’s history.
The ruins of a 12th century medieval church and graveyard which is associated with a nearby Holy Well, may be much earlier and may pre date Christianity.
There is a second old burial ground known locally as “Stawtons Field”. Nearby visitors can view the Kilbehenny White Knights Castle’s ruins.
The majestic Galtee Mountains are visited by thousands each year and many of them wisely use Kilbehenny as their meeting point.
In the picturesque Galtee Woods you can find ruins of the Galtee Castle as well as lovely walks, rivers and wild life.
The Community Center is the focal point for a great number of social activities.

I love Dan Casey's pub. It is a very traditional place where one can find what Ireland is all about. Well done for the video!
